Happy Easter!

31 03 2013

I’ve been pretty busy the past few weeks. I haven’t even updated finished batches from curing to available, much less make more soap. I do have plenty of soap though so if you want some, let me know.

I’ve updated several batches from curing to available today:Lemongrass
Vanilla Hazelnut
Patchouli
Unscented
Ocean Rain

And a treat: Frankincense and Myrrh

I do have some free time this week and I am actually a getting short on liquid soap so I’ll likely make some of that; something to look forward to.

21 FEB 2013: Another batch of vanilla hazelnut with almond oil and almond butter instead of the usual recipe. Remember that they’re in the process of changing to a uniform dark brown color. They won’t stay mottled. I’ll post another picture when they’re ready.

31 March 2013: These are ready now. I said they would become a uniform brown; shows how much I know. I’m not super happy with the dark splotch in the middle of the dragons but otherwise, mottled doesn’t bother me. It’s a nice scent so if you’d like some, let me know.

Ocean rain 1 March 2013

image9 March 2013: The ocean rain was popular, so more is made.

31 March 2013: Now ready!

The ones from the molds are right out of the freezer. They’ll get darker like the bars behind them as they warm. the shell molds are new. The lighthouse molds, although still impractical, are pretty and fitting for the scent. And dragons of course, no explanation necessary there.

Lemongrass 3 March 2013

image9 March 2013: I’ve been out of Lemongrass for a while now. Too long since it’s popular. I didn’t go through the trouble of trying to make the circles this time. I wanted to use the 2″ circles as sample/guest sizes. This picture is from before I stamped them, but all the little circles have my logo. It’s a double batch. There’s about a dozen of each bar size and almost four dozen of the circles.

31 March 2013: Lemongrass has been unavailable for too long. No more!

Unscented 23 Feb 2013

1 MAR 2013: My supply of unscented is getting a little low and I always want to have some on hand. It seems from experience that when people want unscented soap, they want bars, not fancy molded soap. As such, I made almost all bars this time; the 2″ circles for sample / guest size and the large bath bars.

Also, this is my 100th post. Fitting that is is of my personal recipe unscented.

31 March 2013: Plenty of my signature unscented available now.

Patchouli 23 Feb 2013

1 MAR 2013: Patchouli is a scent you either love or hate. I’m afraid I’m one of the latter and you won’t catch me putting this on my skin. Well, actually I test every batch on at least my hands in after testing the Ph but I’ll get rid of it with some of my coffee soap after. The thing is, people who love it, really love it, and I’ve gotten several requests. If you’re one of the people who love it, pipe up! If it doesn’t sell, I won’t make it again.

31 March 2013: This is ready now. Patchouli lovers, let me know.

Coffee soap 10 March 2013

23 March 2013: So, I actually made this two weeks ago shortly after my coworkers bought all I had left. Things have been kind of busy. There’s a bit of a lull in soap making. I have an awful lot of soap though if you want some.
